Tüketici:

Miyokard infarktüsü ve felç, oral kontraseptif ve östrojen kullanımı ile ilişkili olanlar da dahil olmak üzere, riski yüksek tansiyonu olan hastalarda artar. Ayrıca, (ve progestagenlerin) östrojen kan basıncı yükseltmek ve hipertansiyonu kötüleştirebilir, böylece riski bileşik olabilir. Klinik olarak anlamlı kan basıncı artar östrojen tedavisi sırasında bildirilen, özellikle yüksek dozlarda alan hastalarda ya da oral kontraseptif kombinasyonu yüksek ağırlığının aktivitesi olan ilaçlarla tedavi edilmiştir. Bu etkiler ayrıca tedavi ve hastanın yaşı süresi artar. Östrojen ile tedavi hastalarda dikkatle hipertansiyon olan uygulanmalıdır. Hastalar kardiyovasküler durum değişiklikleri, ayarlanabilir veya östrojen tedavisi gerekli gibi içine kapanık ve hipertansiyon rejimi takip edilmelidir. Doğum kontrol gerektiren hastalar, alternatif yöntemler hipertansif olan, 35 yaş ve duman içinde olanlar için dikkate alınmalıdır.
