Kortikosteroidlerin uzun süreli kullanımı posterior subkapsüler katarakt ve glokom neden olan ve/veya optik sinir hasarına yol açabilir göz içi basıncı, ikincisi yüksek olabilir. Uzun süreli kortikosteroid ile tedavi hastalarda dikkatle katarakt, glokom veya göz içi basınç artışı öyküsü ile uygulanmalıdır.
