Genel olarak, antikolinerjik ajanların kullanımı idrar retansiyonu ve prostat hipertrofisi nedeniyle mesane boynu obstrüksiyonu olan hastalarda kullanılmamalıdır. İdrar oluşabilir ve kateterizasyon gerektirebilir. Ayrıca, antikolinerjik ilaçlar kısmi obstrüktif üropati kötüleştirebilir. Dikkat antikolinerjik aktivitesi orta derecede, özellikle yaşlı hastalarda hafif maddeler kullanırken bile tavsiye edilir.
