Hızla çoğalan dokularda sitotoksik etkileri nedeniyle, antineoplastik ajanlar sık olabilir, değişen ölçüde, çalışma teşvik. Bu ilaçların kullanımı bilinen bulaşıcı hastalıkları olan hastalarda da olabilir. Tüm hastalar hemen ateş antineoplastik tedavi sırasında, boğaz ağrısı, ya da yerel bir enfeksiyon olarak enfeksiyonu düşündüren herhangi bir belirti veya belirtiler rapor verilmelidir. Hematopoetik fonksiyonu yakın klinik izleme tavsiye edilir.
