Yakından bronkodilatörler nebulizasyon veya intravenöz tarafından verildiğinde serum potasyum konsantrasyonu azalır, öncelikle neden olabilir. Bu etki genellikle geçicidir ve takviyesi gerektirmez rağmen, klinik olarak anlamlı hipokalemi bazı hastalarda, kardiyovasküler yan etkilere neden potansiyeline sahip olabilir. İnhalasyon tedavisi için oral veya oral sprey/toz için bu gözlemler bağlantısı bilinmemektedir. Yakından bronkodilatörler ile tedavi dikkatli olan hastalarda uygulanan veya hipokalemi yatkın olmalıdır.
