Açlık kan şekeri yükselmiş ve glikoz tolerans niasin ve niacinamide sırasında (nikotinamid) tedavisi önemli ölçüde fizyolojik gereksinimleri için bu aşan dozlarda bildirilmiştir azaldı. Diyabet hastalar daha yakından bu ajanlar ile tedavi, buna göre antidiyabetik rejiminde yapılan ve ayarlamalar sırasında izlenmelidir.
